Description

The central linen element is a fragment from a 1940s tablecloth found at an estate sale in rural Oregon. The surrounding collage pulls from handwritten letters (text obscured by paint) and vintage map pages. The acrylic work was applied and sanded back over six sessions.

Creation Notes

All paper elements hand-cut. Collage adhered with archival PVA. Linen fragment stitched and collaged. Acrylic applied by brush and palette knife, sanded back between sessions. Panel sealed with matte medium.
